Policies at Enable

Policies underpin the governance and operation of our services. Current and relevant policies ensure that we all understand our role and obligations in providing services for people with a disability. These few policies may be helpful to you from time to time. If you wish to view a policy that is not on our website, please contact us.

Code of Conduct

Everyone at Enable Fitness Centre abides by the following principles:

  1. Everyone upholds Enable Fitness Centre’s values: equality, respect, integrity, and responsibility
  2. Everyone contributes to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment
  3. We celebrate diversity and ability, with a focus on enabling people with a disability
  4. We aim to form equitable and positive relationships with everyone
  5. Communication is effective, open and respectful
  6. Care is person-centred: clients are empowered to participate in decisions affecting them, and we listen and respect their preferences, requests, suggestions and ideas
  7. Our Equal Opportunity workplace and culture values the knowledge, experience, and professionalism of all employees, team members, and managers
  8. We have a zero tolerance to 
    • Illegal conduct on Enable Fitness Centre premises, including causing harm or risk of harm of vulnerable people, including children and young people, and people with disabilities, and sexual harassment or misconduct
    • Bullying, disrespectful or insulting behaviour, including verbal and non-verbal aggression, abusive, threatening, or derogatory language or intimidation
    • Discrimination against anyone, based on their gender, age, sexuality, ability, culture, race, or religion


We welcome and respond to any feedback from clients, their families and supports, visitors, and our other stakeholders, as per our Complaints and Feedback Policy and Procedure. Breaches of this Code of Conduct can be reported as per the Complaints and Feedback Policy and Procedure, or to management of Enable Fitness Centre via phone or email. 

Cancellation policy

Clients may cancel their service at any point with 24 hours notice prior to the service, and no fee will be charged. 


If the participant cancels the service within 24 hours of the scheduled service or no prior notice is given to the provider, the provider will seek full payment for the cost of the service. 


When cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment start time, we provide the opportunity for the client to rebook their service at another available time during the week of the original appointment to avoid late cancellation charges.


The provider reserves the right to cancel all future services in the event of three (3) consecutive missed appointments with no contact from the client, and will attempt to notify the client, their alternative contact person and their support coordinator/referrer.
