Enable Fitness Centre are proud to be South Australia's biggest and best-equipped disability gyms. Our mission is to support South Australians living with a disability to improve their health and wellbeing through high quality, holistic and innovative allied health services, while also building a genuine, supportive community where everyone feels safe and included.
Enable Fitness Centre was founded in 2019 by Ross Gray and Zoe Darling. Since its beginnings as a sole trader, the business has transformed into a company providing a range of high quality services to hundreds of clients every week, across three sites in metropolitan Adelaide.
Helping people with disabilities has always been Ross' focus throughout his career. Working at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre for 10 years, in the Day Rehabilitation Services and with the Inpatient Spinal Cord Injury Unit, provided him with a solid understanding of the needs of the disability cohort, and how to provide high quality services to them. But it also highlighted the need for pathways for clients to continue their exercise therapy following discharge from the hospital system. With very limited options for people with disabilities at commercial gyms, Ross and Zoe decided that a specialised, accessible gym was needed - hence, Enable!
Enable is built on providing high quality services exclusively to clients with a disability. By preserving our space for the disability cohort, Enable has built a team of experts, set up gyms with accessible equipment and established a genuine community among our clients, their supporters, and staff.
As a result, Enable is one of the leaders in the exercise and disability industry.
